Since 1999, Prof. Zielinski is President of the Central European Cooperative Oncology Group which is conducting clinical trials and major educational activities in 23 countries of Central and Southeastern Europe.
He has published env. 620 original scientific papers and reviews in peer-review journals and many books. His h-Index is 67 and the citations of papers authored by him exceed 18.000.
Professor Zielinski is a member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), is Honorary Member of the Polish Society for Clinical Oncology and also member of the Austrian Society for Hematology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the Chinese Society for Clinical Oncology (CSCO).

Education & Professional Highlights
Professor Zielinski completed his medical training at the University Hospital Vienna and began his career with a position as a research fellow at the Cancer Research Center at Tufts University, Boston, USA. From 2004 to 2017 he was chairman of the Department of Medicine I and its Clinical Division of Oncology of the Medical University Vienna – General Hospital. His recent clinical research activities cover a wide range of cancer therapies in an abundance of cancers. His latest activities concentrate on immunotherapy and personalized treatment of cancers.
In 2013, Professor Zielinski received a “Dr. h.c.” degree from Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest. He engages in an abundance of teaching activities on very many aspects of cancer in the entirety of Central and Southeastern Europe where he visits regularly.
